This page is dedicated to our permanent residents.

permanent

On average, Ferret Fanciers houses between 30-40 ferrets who, for various reasons, cannot be adopted. These ferrets range in age from year olds to seniors. Some have been abused in previous homes, while others may have health issues that require more care than most adopters are able or willing to provide. Some of the ferrets have behavioral issues which could include biting, not using the litter box, or perhaps they were never properly socialized and are fearful of people.

sleepies

These ferrets are never turned away because they have been deemed "unadoptable". They will live out their lives at the shelter and experience the love and care that they did not have in their previous homes. They have plenty of room to roam in their own bedroom with access to plenty of fresh food and clean water. There are plenty of hammocks and beds to curl up in, and, if the mood strikes them, plenty of toys to play with. These special fuzzies along with our adoptables depend on donations to survive. Please open your heart to these extra special fuzzies and remember to donate. No donation is too small with so many little lives depending on it.

Here are a couple of our permanent residents…

Skinny Minnie

Skinny Minnie

This is Skinny Minnie. She is approximately 6-7 years old, and as you can see she is very adrenal. She has lived at the shelter for about 3 years. Even though she has almost no hair, she is still a beautiful little girl who enjoys a rich and full life.

Sandy Dandy

Sandy Dandy

Here is Sandy Dandy who is approximately 5 years old. He is also adrenal, and has been at the shelter for about 2 years. These are just two examples of the permanent residents who, through no fault of their own, cannot be adopted.
